About the Author Michelle Joy
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” As a girl, she would answer, “Author, artist, musician.” Today it would be summarized as a creative. She would ask herself, “How does that help people?” After settling into a career as a health care professional, Michelle Joy has made her way back to her first love. Reuniting with her love for creative writing, she can now Dance in the Rain.
“To be a poet is a condition, not a profession,” is a quote by poet Robert Graves, with whom Michelle Joy fully identifies. She seeks to treat her own condition through her creative expressions. Her hope is that through this medium, she can continue to heal, soothe and delight.
Michelle Joy’s conceptualizations span the genres so look for her novels, stories, songs and art as she answers the call of her Creator.
