Author Bio:
Braulio Pombal Pitra was born in Sacavém (Quinta do Mocho), Portugal. At the age of 25, he is a promising writer, composer, actor and designer who already has extensive experience. His first love with arts started with hip hop dancing. In 2014 he and his friends in his neighbourhood formed OS VMC – Victory Mob Crew. Today, they are also a community platform (managed by Braulio and Emanuel Carvalho) that “seeks victory in different creative fields – music, dance, graphic design, cinema and other sources of self-expression”. With OS VMC – which has the partnerships of Afro Digital, Guetho Stress, Wicked Studios Sacavém, Teatro Ibisco – he participated in television programmes such as Fátima Lopes (TVI), Welcome (RTP Africa), Pedro Pelo Mundo (Canal GNT Globo Brazil). In 2017 he was chosen as a dancer for the musical “Popota ao Vivo” produced by UAU. In 2018, together with OS VMC, he launched his music channel on YouTube where he launched his first single “Cara Ou Coroa” which gave him national recognition and presented him at a solo concert in Sacavém. His second single came from a partnership with the Sao Tome intervention rapper Pekagboom. He co-wrote “Vida Preta do Negro”, presenting it live in Lisbon. The video clip reached 3,000 views and provoked different reactions by portraying the reality of the life that black people have to endure. In 2019 he released the singles “Bem-me-quer, mal-me-quer” ft BoyRogue; “Novocaine”; “Woke”, “Options”; “Navigate”; “Opium” and “Tigre” produced by Artur Guimarães. In 2020, he moved to London to pursue his career as a designer. It has its trademark streetwear and an online store where it is possible, in addition to buying your clothing line, to consume your musical work produced in various collaborations. It released the English-language singles “Freakish” and “Carnal”. The latest single, “BEST of the BEST” (prod. Cedrick Monteiro, to be included in the EP “In Pursuit of Victory”) and his platform “Victory Mob Crew” were featured in an interview in December 2020 in the international magazine “Occhi Magazine”, which features promising artists and award-winning or critically acclaimed artists. His latest song Victorious has been recorded and filmed in London and Q.D.M in Portugal and Leeds this year. He also composed lyrics for OS Quatro Ventos, a theatre company in Portugal for the musical “Terror and Misery in the Fall of Democracy”
