Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start writing.
The fact that we see so much, yet overlook so much is something that makes me want to capture whatever I can in my words. I know a lot of people will probably overlook something beautiful, and if I can make them experience it through my words, I’ll be happy.
Describe your writing process? Is there anything unique about it?
When I start writing, I just know very little. It grows like a tree, spreads its branches as characters develop. It’s a very organic process, it happens on it’s own.
Have you published any books or do you have a desire to do so?
I’ve written one book, and am working on the next one. It’s going to take time.
As of my first book, it’s name is Soul Spoken. The core of idea is that I’m trying to put into words things that are usually left unsaid, or thought of as what can not be put into words.
Do you have any favorite poets or authors?
Roald Dahl was a particular favorite when I was a child.
Do you have a favorite book of poetry or poems?
I like to read pretty much everything. I have a special liking for Indian history, historical fiction and royalty, but other than that also, I love reading as a whole.
What are you reading now?
A Princess Remembers by Maharani Gayatri Devi.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Full-time job, pets, hobbies?
I’m currently a student at CMSDH, Kolkata, pursuing MBBS. I completed my plus two from Delhi Public School, Siliguri in 2020 itself. 2020 has definitely been an amazing year for me, and I’d love to see what 2021 brings.
Are you working on a current project?
I have a lot of projects in mind. Let’s see when and how they materialize.
