Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start writing.
I am an Indian French interpreter, international writer-journalist, and cinema artist.
I realized very early in my career that I am not a 9-5 person. I worked as a French translator for many different MNCs but was never satisfied with what I was doing. I decided to take a switch to the media field and then one thing led to another and I reached where I am today.
Describe your writing process? Is there anything unique about it?
I try to make my first draft as smooth as possible as I am not a fan of editing. Many of my poetry pieces are my first and final drafts. Forced writing really doesn’t work for me so I make the full use of it when my muse decided to linger along.
Have you published any books or do you have a desire to do so?
My first horror poetry book released in September 2018. Another one is a book of translation that I am quiet excited about it is due to release in 2019, and a few others are in pipeline.
Do you have any favorite poets or authors?
I like John Keats, R.K. Narayan, Shakespeare, Chetan Bhagat. I am not much into reading fiction. I prefer reading non-fiction on sundry subjects.
Do you have a favorite book of poetry or poems?
As I said, I prefer reading non-fiction. It would be hard to pick a name in particular. But I cherish reading mindfulness stuff wherever I find one.
What are you reading now?
I am a contributor at Thrive Global run by Arianna Huffington and an avid reader of the same.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Full-time job, pets, hobbies?
I am also an actor so auditions and self-grooming keep me going plus photography is my next sweet spot. I love the camera time be it in front of it or behind it.
- Are you working on a current project?Writing a series of children books, poetry, and some one-act plays.
